About jigyo

The directory I wished I'd had. Now it's yours.

Why I Built This

My name is Bill. I'm an independent manufacturer's representative based in Houston, and I built jigyo.com because my livelihood has always depended on being in the right room at the right time.

In my line of work, relationships are everything. The people I meet at a chamber breakfast or an after-hours mixer today become the customers, partners, and referral sources I count on for years. Networking events were never optional for me — they were where business started.

But finding those events was always harder than it should have been. A chamber breakfast here, a BNI chapter there, a Meetup group somewhere else — the information was scattered across dozens of websites, Facebook pages, and word-of-mouth. I'd spend hours just trying to figure out what was worth attending next week, and I knew I was missing good ones simply because I didn't know they existed.

So I built the directory I wished I'd had — and that's jigyo.

What Makes jigyo Different

Most event sites cover entire cities as if they were a single neighborhood. Anyone who actually drives across Houston or Dallas for work knows that's useless. I organize networking events by geographic districts within each major Texas metro, so you can find what's happening in your part of town — not forty-five minutes away.

I focus on recurring events — the weekly BNI meetings, monthly chamber breakfasts, and regular professional meetups where real relationships get built over time. Every listing includes the venue address, phone number, and a link so you can verify the details and show up with confidence.

More Than Just Sales Leads

Finding your next customer is reason enough to walk into a networking event. But the real power of showing up goes further than that.

The right conversation can connect you with a supplier who solves a sourcing problem you've been wrestling with, or introduce you to a product line that fills a gap in what you currently offer. Networking can also lead you to fellow sales professionals whose strengths complement yours — people you can team up with to deliver a broader solution to the customer.

When two or three professionals who trust each other can walk into a meeting and collectively address more of the customer's needs, the result is a larger sale for everyone involved. The customer wins because more of their problem gets solved in one place. Each member of the alliance earns business they wouldn't have landed alone. That kind of collaboration starts with a handshake — and jigyo is designed to help you find the right event to make it happen.

How to Use jigyo

Looking for events: Pick your city, pick your area, and browse. Every listing is free to view — no account, no paywall. If you spot something outdated or know of an event I'm missing, I want to hear about it.

Listing your event: If you run a networking group, a chamber event, or a professional meetup, I'll list it for free. Use the submission form on any city page or email me directly. I welcome chambers of commerce, BNI chapters, professional associations, industry groups, and independent organizers.

Coverage

I currently cover networking events across Texas's five major metropolitan areas, organized into geographic districts within each city:

I also maintain a Texas Statewide page for conferences, expos, and events that draw professionals from across the state.

The directory grows every week. If your area is thin on listings, that's an invitation — send me what you know, and I'll get it posted.
